Registering to Vote

As of January 1, 2006, all municipalities in Wisconsin require voter registration prior to a person being allowed to vote. In Wisconsin there are three convenient ways to register:

By Mail

Download the Application for Voter Registration (PDF), complete and mail it into the Village Clerk's Office along with acceptable proof of residence:

In-Person

Register in-person at the Clerk's Office during open registration periods. 

Online

Register to Vote online at MyVote Wisconsin. To use this option, your Wisconsin Driver's License or ID Card must have your current name and address. 

At the Polling Place On Election Day

If you register to vote at your polling place on Election Day, you must provide a proof of residence document showing that you reside at the address you are registering at and certifying you have resided therefor at least 28 consecutive days.

Acceptable Forms of Proof of Residence Documents must include:

  • Applicant's current and complete legal name
  • Applicant's current and complete address, if any
  • Last 4-6 digits of Account Number listed on the Proof of Residence document
