Overview

The village’s Architectural Review Board consists of five members. Two members shall consist of architects. At least one architect shall be registered with the State of Wisconsin. If both are not registered, the one that is not must at least hold a bachelor degree in architecture and have at least one year of experience, and/or experience from an internship or apprenticeship.

The remaining three members shall have experience in, but not limited to, the following fields: architectural products, real estate, construction, development, design or other specialties involving architectural design, site / plan technical specification reading and interpretation, development finances, etc.

Appointing Members

The village president, subject to confirmation by the Village Board shall appoint one member, who shall be designated as the chair, and the Village Board shall appoint the other four committee members. All appointments shall be for staggered three year terms.

Powers & Duties

The Architectural Review Board shall have the powers and duties of hearing, reviewing, and acting upon items as brought forward by the planning and zoning administrator and/or building inspector, to provide recommendation to the Plan Commission.
