Parks

Duties

The Parks Department is responsible for the development and maintenance of park open space areas, as well as the community facilities and the respective athletic fields within those parks.

Events

This department plays an important role in maintaining areas utilized by the Richfield Youth Baseball and Softball Association, Richfield Soccer Club, and special events like Richfield Days at Fireman's Park. They work in concert with our youth sports associations for the maintenance and general up-keep of Village park concession stands as well.

Maintenance

The Parks and Recreation Department is responsible for maintaining five publicly owned parks or areas totaling approximately 115 acres. This includes the landscape maintenance of Heritage Park, Bark Lake Park, Richfield Historical Park, Nature Park, and Fireman's Park.
